岐石村是广东省揭阳市惠来县岐石镇的行政村，也是镇人民政府的驻地。村名由“奇石”、“麒石”演变而来。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村中有奇石矗立于数石之间，形似麒麟之角，早称“奇石”，也称“麒石”，清代后改称“岐石”。[1]

北宋仁宗景佑元年（1034年），陈氏自福建莆田迁来落籍。1952年成立村建制；此后曾设大队（1958年）、乡人民政府（1983年）、村委会（1986年至1987年）、管理区（1989年），1999年复为村委会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

省道内隆线经过村境。村前有十八湾小溪，直达甲子港。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内有大宗祠、林氏祖祠、石人公山、八仙古榕等古迹。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，岐石村列入「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」2018年创建单位名单。2023年11月，村庄入选广东省「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村。[1]
