图田村是神泉镇的沿海村庄，三面环水，村子形似小岛，土质多为海滩涂地。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村地背海面溪，三面环水，可耕土质都是海滩涂地，故名涂田。1935年因“涂”与“图”读音相近，雅称图田。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明成化年间，周氏自福建莆田迁来此地定居。1949年至1958年间办过初级社、高级社，1958年为大队，1983年改设乡，1987年称管理区，1999年定为图田村委会。[1]
