华埔村在惠来县城西南面约7.5公里，农、渔、盐并举，村内有盐田与虾池。[1]

地名由来[edit]

宋代，蔡氏在此创村。村落建在低洼的沙埔（丘陵坡地）上，最初称下埔，后雅称华埔。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武十三年（1380年），陈氏一支迁来此地聚居。1949年至1958年间办过初级社、高级社，1958年为大队；1983年设华埔乡政府，1987年称管理区，1999年定名华埔村委会。[1]

1974年围海造田时，神泉公社分给本村西港一带的盐碱低洼田160亩作水田耕种。1985年，村里将这片地集体开发为虾池。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，本村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]
