角林村在惠来县城东南面约3.8公里，三面丘陵，南面为文昌山，西侧临雷岭河，村落以农业为主。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村落最初因林木与荆藤茂密，称为杨帕篮。明成化年间（1484年），因村中两块巨石形似羊角，村名定为羊角林。1980年地名普查时，此名被简称为角林。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
宋代建村。1949年土地改革后，五个自然村合并为羊角林乡，1958年改称羊角林大队，仍由五个自然村组成。1983年设角林乡政府，1987年为角林管理区，1999年定为角林村委会。[1]
名胜[edit]
村北有三长寺，为宋端平元年（1234年）所建，清道光年间（1821至1850年）改建为石壁庵。[2]
