前湖村在惠来县城东南面约8.1公里，村子呈长方形分布，以农业为主，属革命老区。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村子三面环山，村前是低洼的湖地，因而称前湖。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋末，邱、周两姓在此定居，后肖、高等姓也迁来聚居。[1]

水利[edit]

村子东南与东北方向各有水库，分别是圆山岭、黄溪蓝、水吼三座。[1]
