石盘村在惠来县城东南面约9.1公里，位于溪东溪西侧，以农业为主，种植水稻、番薯和花生。村名取自地形特征。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村地平整，形如盘状，周围是黑色的大石，原称乌石盘，1965年后改称石盘。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明末，罗、曾两姓先来此定居，其后张、吴、庄、林、方、许等姓陆续聚居。1949年曾办初级社和高级社，1958年公社化期间改为大队。1983年设石盘乡政府，到1987年改为石盘管理区，直至1999年才定为石盘村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予石盘村「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号。[1]

2019年9月，石盘村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]
