沃角村位于惠来县城南面约9.8公里、神泉港东南约1公里的岬角地带，博雅地名网作澳角村。村落依山临海，以渔业为主，海产有对虾、石斑、鱿鱼、龙虾等。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

宋时已有蔡、许、蒋等姓人家在此落居。村地形似凤凰，初称凤山；后有黄姓迁入，村前澳内一块巨礁形如香橼，又名香黄澳。明万历十四年（1586年），因地处澳湾岬角，改称澳角，县级文件则作沃角。[2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

清康熙五十六年（1717年），村北海边高地筑起营盘驻军。1938年日军侵入，营盘遭毁，只留下遗址。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，村子上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]
