头径村是周田镇的一个行政村，位于镇域西部，分设两个经济联合社，以农业为主。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

先人见地脉形如猛牛，取名鳌头径，寓意子孙科举高中。因与县内另一村名相近，通邮通电时常出错，1965年经乡贤商议并报上级同意，改名头径。[1]

元至元年间（1286～1294），林姓自福建莆田迁来定居，其后陈、黄、李三姓相继迁入。[1]

新中国成立后曾设乡；1958至1983年公社化期间改为大队，1983至1986年区乡制改革时改为乡政府，1987年为管理区，1999年改为村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

2009年人均纯收入3135元。[1]
