兴岗村是周田镇的一个行政村，位于镇域北部，以农业为主，主要种植荔枝、柑等特色产品。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村址处于山陵滑坡形成的山岗上，南宋时已有村落，俗称崩岗；后因人丁兴旺，改称兴岗。[1]
元至正年间（1341～1367），周边多个村落屡遭盗匪骚扰，部分居民迁居于此。明嘉靖年间，陈、孙二姓分别自潮安、揭阳迁入。[1]
新中国成立后曾设乡，1958年公社化期间改为大队；此后1983年起为乡政府，1987年改为管理区，1999年改称村委会。[1]
