华清村在仙庵镇东部，北面与四石村相邻，东面与东铺村相接，南面临南海。[1]村名原作“下清”，后雅称“华清”。[1]

地名与历史[edit]

村庄三面环山，溪水向西流入海中。大雨时溪水上浊下清，村名因此取作“下清”，后雅称“华清”。[1]

明洪武四年（1371年），卢氏从陆丰大唐迁来定居，当时已有多姓居住，后他姓外迁，只剩卢姓。[1]

清初，村子分属陆丰与惠来两县。1950年划归惠来，称华清乡。1959年至1983年间为华清大队，之后至1986年设华清乡人民政府。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

全村359户，人口2500人，耕地500亩，其中水田350亩，属纯农村，未注年份。[1]

村中以农业为生，水稻、番薯、花生的种植面积都不小。[1]

荣誉[edit]

华清村获得「2022年广东省卫生村」称号，授予方为广东省爱卫会，时间是2023年5月。[1]
