锡溪村属仙庵镇，包括锡溪与学地两个自然村。村子位于丘陵地带，以农业为生，过去是革命老区。[2]
地名与历史[edit]
村西有一条小溪，海雁常在此停歇觅食，村名原作“歇溪”，后谐音改为“锡溪”。另有一说，村庄朝西、属五行之金，故改称“锡溪”。[2]
曾、林二姓是宋末元初在俗称“鹅地”的丘陵上最早落脚的。至正年间（1341～1368）洪姓定居此地，此后王、黄、史、郑、陈诸姓迁入。[2]
1949年8月，四个小村——锡溪、兴岗、崎岎与东铺——组成了锡溪村；此后隶属数次变动，1999年9月改为仙庵镇锡溪村委会。[2][3]
人口与经济[edit]
百度百科所载户数1238，人口7770，耕地2011亩，均未注年份。[1]
村民收入主要靠农业，种植水稻、番薯、花生等作物，果品方面，荔枝、李子、橘子、西瓜、梨瓜都有种植。村民人均收入2950元，未注年份。[2]
