田墘村在仙庵镇西部，北面临靖海公路，西侧挨着葵和公路，离顶溪水库很近。[2]村委会辖田墘、仙宅、仙内三个自然村。[1][2]

地名与历史[edit]

村名原以“田”字开头，后取祖居地理位置“边缘”之意，定名田墘；村西南的一片山埔也称田墘埔。[2]

关于建村年代，百度百科作明天启年间（1621～1627）创村，博雅地名网则作十六世纪初建村，两说并存。[1][2]

1957年设田墘村，归仙庵乡；1958年并入东红公社，称田墘大队；1983年改为田墘乡；1986年改称田墘村，1992年改为管理区，1999年起为村委会。[3]

人口与经济[edit]

全村面积6588亩，耕地2082亩；人口5784人，821户，未注年份。[1]

茶园从70亩扩大到300亩；2019年的产量为6万斤。产销由合作社带动企业、村委会与农户一并进行。[1]2021年，全村收入2227万元，每人平均3374元。[1]

荣誉与文物[edit]

2021年9月，田墘村入选广东省农业农村厅公布的第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村（茶叶）。[1][2]

村内文物古迹有田墘望竹庵。[1][2]
