四美村位于仙泉公路东侧，沿路绵延约2公里，离镇政府不远，与金海湾度假村相接。[1][2]村子由西塘、四美两个自然村组成。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村中原有施、李两姓。施氏于明洪武年间（1368～1398）创村，据博雅地名网，施氏来自今前詹镇山尾村；李氏则在明正德年间迁来聚居。[1][2]

村名之前叫荖畔乡，1956年改称四美乡。1957年与毗邻的塘华、西庄、西塘合并，仍称四美乡；1973年西庄、塘华分设为村，四美与西塘合为四美大队。1987年改为管理区，1999年改设村委会。[2]

人口与经济[edit]

据百度百科，2009年全村有3875人、600户，可耕地共计1330.9亩，水田占601.5亩，旱地729.4亩。[1]

以水稻、花生等农作物为主，此外有约80亩鱼池，2009年，全村收入689万元，每人平均约1800元。[1]
