顶溪村位于仙庵镇北部，村名取自它所在之处恰为东、西二溪上游的汇合之地。[2]村民多为水库移民：1958年建顶溪水库，次年村民迁到葵和公路与仙靖公路交叉口的东侧，仍沿用原村名。[2][4]

历史沿革[edit]

黄、郑、钟、张诸姓最早定居，时在明万历年间（1573～1620）；朱、严、许、陈等姓随后迁入聚居。[4]

1958年后，顶溪村与新乡村、仙庵村合为一个大队，称仙庵大队；1971年分出，成立顶溪大队。1983年区乡制改革后改为乡政府，1987年为管理区，1999年改设村委会。[4]
