仙庵村在仙庵镇东北部，是镇里的老镇区。葵和公路从村中穿过，深汕高速在仙庵设有出口，村子离县城约25公里。[1][2]村名来自村北的一座古庵。[2]村中潮汕风格的古建筑保存完好。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

据仙庵镇人民政府2020年的报道，村庄创建至今已有600多年，既是镇里的老镇区，也是革命老区。[4]

最早定居于此的是黄、肖、罗、戴、廖等姓，时在明正德年间（1506～1521）。之后林、赖、阮、杨、冯、胡、董等姓陆续迁入。村委会由仙庵村与新乡村两个自然村组成，设在仙庵村，这里曾是仙庵镇人民政府的驻地。[2]

1958年称大队，1967年改称东红大队，1979年恢复仙庵大队之名。1983年区乡制改革后设乡政府，1987年成为管理区，1999年才改为村委会。[2]

地理与人口[edit]

全村总面积约574公顷，耕地641亩，非耕地7978.5亩。[1][2]博雅地名网所载总人口5860人、890户，未注年份；同一网站记2005年村级经济总收入为1639万元，人均收入2579元。[2][5]

千午水库与顶溪水库在村旁，村子水源充足。[4]

风貌与荣誉[edit]

村内有一座面积约30多亩的风景池，池周围的田野上常有白鹭飞翔。[4]仙庵村是镇里的新农村建设示范村，其建设经验也带动了里行、口埔、浮埔、华清、桥观等村。[3]

2022年8月，村里获得「2022年惠来县首批无毒村（社区）」称号。2023年11月，仙庵村列为「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村之一。[2]
