五福田村位于惠来县惠城山区最北面，距县城30公里，北面与普宁市接壤，距揭神公路约6公里。[1]
地名由来[edit]
当时村中已有张、郑、李、林、梁五姓居住，村前有几片田，以种田为生。五姓聚居，原称“五作田”，后取吉祥之意改称五福田，沿用至今。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1723年至1736年（清雍正年间），林姓人家迁来定居。新中国成立后，1951年办过初级社与高级社；1958年公社化期间称大队；1983年区乡制改革后与他村合组乡政府；1987年后设管理区，1999年定为村委会。河林乡撤销后归惠城镇管辖。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2026年1月，五福田村获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」称号。[1]
