林樟村位于惠来县惠城镇山区西北面，东有揭神路经过，北靠普宁市。[1]
地名由来[edit]
建村时村周围樟树成林，故名林樟。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1691年至1701年（清康熙年间），林姓人家迁来定居。当时赖、黄、梁、许等姓已在此聚居，此后他姓陆续迁出，只剩林姓。[1]
1948年设农会。新中国成立后至1958年间办过初级社和高级社，其间称村。1958年至1983年间称林樟大队，1983年至1986年改称林樟乡政府，1987年至1999年改为林樟管理区，1999年起称林樟村委会。2005年后河林乡撤销，村归惠城镇管辖。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，林樟村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2021年12月，获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
