盐岭村地处惠来县惠城镇北部山区，东北边界与汕头潮南相接，西北边与普宁为邻。[2]
地名由来[edit]
村后的山岭处于惠来、普宁、潮阳三县交界处。旧时私盐贩运要经过此地，一度设盐圩，村名由此而来。当地旧有「鸡鸣三县」之说。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明万历年间（1590年至1595年）朱、何二姓先后迁来，此前罗、张、梁等姓曾在此居住，后来他姓迁离，只剩朱、何二姓。[1]
1928年4月，红军第2、第4师在村中会师。1962年划为盐岭大队，隶属惠城公社；1983年后改设乡政府，1987年改为管理区，1999年定为村委会。[1]
革命文物[edit]
村内保存有石刻红色标语，以及红军地下印刷厂、红军服装加工场的旧址，并有南山八女居住过的老伦洞。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，盐岭村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
