历史沿革[edit]

1949年至1958年，南美属墩南乡的一部分。1958年办起农业社，此时称墩南大队；1983年墩南大队改为墩南乡。1987年，墩南一带设立管理区；1992年设南美村委会，2002年改称社区居委会。[1]

地理与社会[edit]

社区内有葵阳电影院，南门大街、环城西路和新兴街经过，是县城区商贸较为集中的地方。居民以商贸和务工为主。[1]
