祚通社区位于惠来县惠城镇城区东侧，是县城繁华地段，葵和公路从其南侧穿过。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年至1983年，祚通属东山生产大队辖下。1983年东山辖区建制撤销，祚通独立为村。此后1987年设祚通管理区，1999年成为祚通村委会。2002年起按城镇化要求取消村委会，设立祚通居委会至今。[1]
地理与社会[edit]
社区面积1.2平方公里，居民以商贸、手工业为主。县汽车总站设在辖区内，辖区内有两处多功能生活市场，并有占地5000平方米的祚通学校。[2]
社区内的帝王古庙为县级文物保护点，始建于明万历二年，庙前有罗庚针石板桥，该庙香火较旺。[2]
2019年9月，祚通社区列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
