活动村在上砂镇政府的西北面，距镇区3千米，所辖自然村共10个。村中有不少外出务工经商的乡亲，多支持家乡公益事业。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1953年至1983年本村为活动大队。1984年2月，大队改设活动乡政府；1986年成立活动村委会，1990年改称活动管理区，1999年复为活动村委会，名称沿用至今。[1]

2023年4月，本村列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单；2024年4月，入选「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。[1]
