岽坑村位于揭西县五云镇西部，南与汕尾市陆河县水唇镇交界，径新公路穿村而过，属红色革命老区。[1][2]

全村总人口1142人、248户，据博雅地名网；百度百科所载相同。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年至1983年，此地属五云公社下的一个大队；1982年自其中分出，另设大队。1984年撤大队设乡政府，1986年改设村民委员会，1990年改为管理区办事处，1999年恢复村委会，沿用至今。[3]

地理与经济[edit]

村内耕地337亩，山地4486亩，生态公益林711亩。农业以水稻、花生为主，部分农户种了青梅和橄榄。村民大多外出谋生，经营五金交电的居多。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，该村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
