宝石村位于揭西县五云镇西部，西南与汕尾市陆河县的水唇镇、螺溪镇交界，麻宝公路穿村而过，属红色革命老区。[1]

全村总人口1576人、317户，据博雅地名网。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年至1983年，此地属五云公社的一个大队；1971年分出另设大队。1984年撤大队设村委会，1990年设宝石管理区，1999年恢复村民委员会，沿用至今。[2]

地理与经济[edit]

村内耕地249亩；山地11739亩，其中生态公益林6499亩。农业以水稻、花生、马铃薯为主，部分村民利用山地多、草料足的条件放养肉牛。村集体经济收入空白。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年5月，广东省爱卫会授予该村「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。2019年9月，该村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
