鹏岭村位于揭西县五云镇北部，是该镇下辖的行政村，省道238线贯穿全村，属红色革命老区。[1][2]

全村总人口4178人、841户，据博雅地名网和百度百科。村中的著名景点有彭氏素逸公祠与鹏岭龙山景区。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年至1983年，此地设鹏岭大队。1984年撤销生产大队，设乡政府；1986年区改镇后设村民委员会，1991年曾改设管理办事处，1999年复称鹏岭村民委员会。[4]

地理与经济[edit]

村内耕地920亩，山地5391亩。农业以水稻、花生为主，部分农户种植龙眼和荔枝。省道两侧商业较为发达，沿线商铺有100多家。[1]

村中有小水电站1座，装机容量320千瓦，年发电量约80万度，是村集体经济收入的主要来源。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2009年，该村被广东省司法厅、民政厅评为广东省民主法治示范村。[1]

著名人物[edit]

彭云珍（1931—1949），女，原名云花，鹏岭村人。1947年6月，潮汕人民抗征队成立，她多次请求入伍。父亲早逝，家中由祖父母照料。[3]
