村内耕地面积为1574亩；山地13615亩；另有生态公益林613亩。农业以水稻、花生、淮山为主，部分农户种植青梅、香蕉和橄榄；林业以速生丰产林为特色。[1][2]

村中建有小水电站1座，有民营胶合板企业1家，黄竹洋一带具备多级水电站的开发条件。村民多外出务工经商。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年5月，广东省爱卫会授予该村「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。2019年9月，该村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
