湖光村位于坪上镇北部，村内有坪上镇的供港蔬菜基地。[1][2]

沿革[edit]

湖光在1958至1983年为生产大队，1984年改设湖光乡政府；1986年称湖光村，1990年设管理区办事处，1999年改为村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，湖光村被列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。2020年8月，湖光村以蔬菜入选首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单。[1]

供港蔬菜基地[edit]

基地始于2019年的「一村一品」项目，流转耕地1200多亩，带动湖光、四新、员东、员西、五联5个村的蔬菜产业链，吸纳周边村民及脱贫户220多人就业。基地获香港渔农署认证的「信誉农场」称号，还被评为揭阳市市级蔬菜产业园。[2]
