埔龙尾村位于钱坑镇，村民以木雕工艺闻名，村里也有“木雕村”的称呼。明朝1515年，祖先从钱坑东门迁来，在此建村。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

土改时，这里设过农会，本村编为第四连。1978年，本村分设为埔龙尾大队。1984年，它又并入乡建制；1986年有了村民委员会，1990年改成管理区办事处，1999年以后称埔龙尾村委会。[1][2]

2014年，村民结成木雕协会，正式名称为「揭西县钱坑镇埔龙尾村木雕协会」。[3]

2015年，「钱坑木雕」入选第二批省级生产性保护示范基地，保护单位为埔龙尾村委会。[4]
