钱西村古称“西门”，位于钱坑镇西北部，村内有石灵寺和钱西古村落。[3]
历史沿革[edit]
土改复查时，钱西归揭西县五联区管辖；1958年为钱西大队，1984年改为钱西乡，1986年设钱西村民委员会，1990年成了管理区办事处，1999年起定名为钱西村委会。[1][2]
广东省古村落的称号于2015年授予钱西古村落；2016年，县级文保名录新增了钱西古庙和大寨祠堂群。[3]
