井美村位于大溪镇榕江南河南岸，距镇区约2公里，由两个自然村组成，是大溪李氏宗祠所在地。[1][3]

2012年5月，该村入选「第三批广东省历史文化名镇名村」；2023年11月，该村入选「广东“百千万工程”首批典型县镇村」。该村还获得「广东省历史文化名村」「广东省古村落」「国家森林乡村」等称号。[1][5]

历史沿革[edit]

据《美丽揭西》，该村始建于清康熙年间，由当地乡绅李天生所建；据博雅地名网，李天生为大溪四世祖，生于1636年，卒于1723年，在井美（尾）置寨。[2][5]

民国时期，该地属河婆第五区；1949年后隶属南联区大溪乡。1958年9月公社化后归钱坑人民公社，1976年9月分拆后改属大溪公社。1983年设区、乡后属大溪区，1986年12月起为大溪镇井美管理区，1999年起称大溪镇井美村民委员会。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内古寨场的古围墙长1122米，古街巷有10条，庙宇5处，古井2口。[5]

李天生大楼、李氏宗祠均为揭阳市文物保护单位，李氏受祖祠列为「三普登记文物」。[4][5]

文化[edit]

大溪宗祠祭典以大溪李氏宗祠为载体，2007年列入广东省第二批省级非物质文化遗产名录。[3]

村中还有揭西炒茶（揭阳市级非遗）和大溪豆腐豆干制作技艺（揭西县级非遗）。[5]

著名人物[edit]

清代村中有庠生李廷璋（即李天生）、岁进士李文韬、武举人李著等人物。[5]
