据百度百科，全村总人口6535人，耕地2523亩；博雅地名网所载数字与之相同，两处均未注统计年份。[1][2]

组织与设施[edit]

村内设党总支一个，下设八个支部，共有党员126人。[2]

村子地处偏僻，近年交通有所改善。官池山自然村完成了雨污分流、集中供水和巷道硬底化工程；村里还对巷道、外立面、主村道，以及老寨的党建文化公园进行了改造提升。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，和西村上榜「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1999年又改为村委会，沿用至今；1990年设和西管理区；1986年改称和西村委会；1984年撤销生产大队，设乡政府；1958年为和西大队。[2]
