金和镇位于广东省揭阳市揭西县的东部，镇界以凤江、钱坑、塔头、灰寨诸镇为邻，镇南隔着榕江南河与普宁市遥遥相对，镇政府设在金和大道。镇域以农业为基础，近年以「百千万工程」为抓手推进镇村建设，境内的山湖村是全镇乡村旅游的重点村落。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

金和镇的名称取自金坑村的“金”字与和顺村的“和”字。历史上这一带属揭阳县，1949年时属揭阳县五联区。[2]

1957年，金坑、和顺两地及原六联区的部分村庄划出，设立金和乡；1958年并入钱坑公社。1961年5月，钱坑公社分出，另设金和公社。1965年7月金和改属揭西县；1983年公社改为区，1986年由区改为镇。[2]

地理环境[edit]

金和镇地处揭西县境东部。据百度百科，全镇面积为48.46平方千米；据博雅地名网，辖区面积约51.325平方千米，两家所载不一致，此处并列。镇域属亚热带季风气候。[1][2]

“十三五”期间，揭西县金和段（金里片区）的榕江南河水质保护工程完成，总投资1289.79万元。[4]

据百度百科，全镇2018年末户籍人口为78284人。[1]

博雅地名网则依第七次人口普查，把金和镇人口记作约5.55万，并称该数据公布于2021年6月；同一页面的基本介绍另写约5.63万人，未标年份。[2]

经济[edit]

2025年全镇生产总值为14.1亿元；农业产值在全县排名第一，规上工业企业从6家增加到11家。[5]

镇政府2026年4月发布的工作报告列出，2025年农业总产值9.62亿元，规模以上工业总产值2.37亿元；粮食种植面积4.08万亩，产粮1.69万吨。传统工业以电线电缆、休闲食品和彩印包装为主。[3]

农业方面，竹笋、油茶、麻叶与玉米是主要的特色农产品；吉展养殖与粤海广南集团合作后，供港生猪实现年销售1万头。[3]

十三五期间，金和互联网+农业扶贫创业园落成，投入599.84万元；镇里借着建设互联网+农业小镇的机会，还推动了一镇一品项目。[4]

阿里研究院发布的「2020年淘宝镇」「2021年淘宝镇」「2022年淘宝镇」名单先后有金和镇入选，依次为2020年9月、2021年10月和2022年10月。[2]

2023年，金和镇在揭阳市「百千万工程」考核中获普通镇优秀等次；2024年3月，金和镇被命名为「2023年广东省卫生乡镇」。[2][3]

十三五时期，山湖村成立潮曲票友会，每年对外演出数十场。[4]

镇文化中心的阅览室、舞蹈室等场所向公众免费开放；12个村级综合性文化服务中心经提质改造，达标率为85.7%。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

植丰园由林子丰于民国九年（1920年）建成，位于金新村新园村寨后，占地约5196.22平方米，为「广东省第七批省级文物保护单位」。园内有主座、附座和后房，外围筑高墙，园中设喷水池与碉楼，正门是三山式重檐歇山顶牌楼，装饰采用潮汕宗祠的嵌瓷工艺。[6][2]

著名人物[edit]

林子丰生于1892年，祖籍金和镇金园村，毕业于北京协和医学院。他在香港从商，曾任嘉华银行总经理、香港潮州商会会长，并创办香港浸会学院，担任首任校长。[7][2]

林拔芦生于1917年，原名大弟，是柑园村人。1938年他进入南侨中学夜校读书；次年加入中国共产党，同年出任柑园村党支部书记。1943年4月去世，被称为烈士。[8][2]
