鸿西村位于塔凤公路两侧，东接鸿江村，西接花寨村，下辖3个自然村。农民以种植水稻为主，村里还有几家副业加工厂。[1]

博雅地名网载，全村人口3252人，共634户，党员62人，设3个党支部。村内有小学一所、卫生站一个，水田755亩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年至1983年，此地是凤江人民公社的鸿西大队。1984年2月，大队撤销，改设凤江区鸿西乡政府；1986年起为鸿西村委会，1990年划入凤江镇政府的鸿西管理区，1999年鸿西村委会的名称被再次确认。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，村上榜2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2024年3月，村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
