凤北村位于榕江南河北岸，省道穿村而过，下辖7个自然村，村内有一处红色遗迹，即碧潭渡口。[1][3]

博雅地名网载，全村860户，总人口4800人。镇新闻则称全村总人口5300多人，两处统计年份均未注明。[1][3]

村党总支1个，下设党支部8个，党员120多人。[1]

经济[edit]

村里以食品加工包装为龙头，辅以各类家庭作坊，已有规模以上企业4家，其他企业80家。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

碧潭渡口位于碧潭自然村，紧邻榕江南河。1925年东征军发动棉湖战役时，这里是重要的交通线；此后中共地下党也利用此渡口，乘船前往棉湖、良田等革命根据地传递文件与情报。渡口遗址至今保存，村里计划将渡口及周边地块改造为红色旅游景点。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年至1983年，凤北大队是凤江人民公社的一部分。1984年2月，大队撤销，并在凤江区设凤北乡政府；1986年起称凤北村委会，1990年划入凤江镇人民政府的凤北管理区，1999年定名为凤北村委会，延用至今。[1]

镇政府工作报告称，东光村与凤北村属「百千万工程」第四批典型村培育创建对象。[2]
