古福村是广东省揭阳市揭西县东园镇下辖的行政村，村域面积3.79平方千米，南面临榕江，东面与普宁相近。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

旧俗称本村为“狗肚”：村的地形像一只趴卧的狗，寨内一片又似腹部。后取谐音改作雅名，并因村委会驻地在本村而定为今名。[1]

古福在1958至1983年间是大队建制；1984年2月大队撤销后改设乡政府，1986年组建村民委员会，1990年设为管理区，1999年又恢复村委会的设置。[2]

2019年9月，古福村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]

经济[edit]

2009年底，全村有1322户，劳动力2277人，人均可支配收入约4555元，村集体经济约32万元。[1]
