新宫林村在灰寨镇区中心，村寨有二百多年的历史，村内的新宫林古民居是灰寨镇的主要古迹[1][2]。

古民居[edit]

博雅地名网称，新宫林古村始建于1804年，融合苏州园林式布局、潮汕民居和客家围龙屋的传统，建筑中有「一串七门楼」「三壁联珠」「乐善处」等[2]。

乐善处是古民居的主体，采用潮汕民居中驷马拖车的布局，正中有三座祠堂宅第，合称三壁联，占地约两万三千平方米[3]。

乐善处于2015年12月列入「第八批广东省文物保护单位」名单，据民国时期抄本《李氏族谱》推算，建于清嘉庆八年（1803年）[3][4]。2022年，新宫林乐善处古村落修缮工程完成，修缮后的民居重新焕发生机[5][6]。

历史沿革[edit]

本村在1958年至1983年间属新宫林大队。1984年2月大队撤销后，设立了灰联乡政府；1986年村委会成立，名为新宫林村民委员会。1990年又改设管理区办事处，1999年重新定为村民委员会，沿用至今[1]。

荣誉与发展[edit]

2022年1月，省乡村振兴局把新宫林村列为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位[1]。2023年11月，村子入选广东「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村[1]。2024年4月，新宫林村被列入「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单[1]。

圩镇与示范带[edit]

2020年，新宫林村列入灰寨镇农房管控和风貌提升示范带，并被列为生态宜居美丽示范村的建设对象之一[7]。2022年，村子也位于美丽圩镇建设核心区范围内[6]。

人物[edit]

李日煌生于1911年、卒于1942年，本村人。1934年他从灰寨树文小学毕业，1936年起在灰寨中和小学教书[1]。
