长滩村位于揭西县东北部、京溪园镇境内，省道穿村而过，交通便利，由4个自然村组成。[1]全村共1337户，总人口5811人（博雅地名网所载，未注年份）。[1]2024年3月，村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]

村域面积为11190亩，山地占7833亩，另有耕地1650亩。村中的高尔夫球运动健身基地与京明工业园区吸纳了富余劳动力，园区招商引资也带动了村及周边的发展。[1][2]博雅地名网记2008年全村工农业总产值为1.449亿元。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1999年起称长滩村委会，此名沿用至今；此前1990年为长滩管理区办事处，1986年为长滩村委会，1984年2月生产大队撤销后设长滩乡政府，更早的1958至1983年间村为长滩大队。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
