新四村位于河婆街道北部，在横江水库坝下，四周群山环绕，下辖6个自然村[1]。

地名由来[edit]

此地原为十三乡的一部分。后来水班头、富屋、巫石坑、长秋坑四个自然村从中划出，村委会驻地设在本村，村名由此而来[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1953年，这一片被单独设为新四乡。1958年至1983年间属生产大队，1984年2月大队撤下后改设新四乡政府，1986年为新四村委会，1990年成为管理区办事处，1999年才以新四村民委员会的名称沿用至今[1]。

社区荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，广东省爱卫会把「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉授予新四村。2022年1月，新四村被广东省乡村振兴局列为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位[1]。
