揭阳高新技术产业开发区是揭阳市辖下的开发区，简称揭阳高新区。它处在揭阳市城区中心，占地50.03平方公里，分为榕江新城、临空、临港三个片区，区内拥有「揭阳潮汕国际机场」。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

开发区于2002年经广东省政府批准设立。百度百科记其设立于2002年11月，并称2022年3月重新挂牌、实体化运作。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

开发区处在「汕潮揭」三市的中部，距汕头、潮州、揭阳三市市区约20公里。榕江能通行万吨级货轮，向下游直达南海。[1][2]

对外交通有「揭阳潮汕国际机场」。梅汕高铁的机场站和厦深高铁的潮汕站也在对外交通之列，另有206国道，并与汕梅、汕揭、潮惠高速及潮汕环线互相连通。[1][2]

经济[edit]

「2+1」主导产业为现代服务业、新材料与智能装备制造，优势产业为物流电商、服装制鞋与五金机电。[1]

开发区组建了五金、小家电、塑料塑胶三个产业创新联盟。园区方面，有「莞揭合作园」「万洋科技众创城」「临空智造园」「莞揭科创园」「高端新材料产业园」，另有一处民营的「工改工」产业园。[1]

开发区是「国家火炬揭阳机电模具特色产业基地」。[1]

科技平台以「两院两园」为主：「榕江实验室中试基地」、「揭阳新材料产业技术研究院」、「揭阳科技创新园」和「高端新材料产业园」。[1]

区内的公共配套包括「市一中榕江新城学校」「市第二实验中学」「粤东肿瘤医院」「市文化中心」和「双溪明月体育公园」。[1]
