鸟围村在石母山东面的平原上，桂（岭）新（亨）公路从村中横贯，东面隔河与月城镇相望。[1][2]

人口民族[edit]

全村行政区域面积1.38平方千米，总人口2782人、653户，党员74人，未注明年份。[2]

经济[edit]

村里以纯农经济为主，工业基础薄弱，外出人员较多。村里投资近250万元，建起村内主要道路与村办公大楼，装上路灯，铺设全村饮用水管。[2]

2025年，鸟围村顺利通过省级“百千万工程”典型村评定，并完成绿美示范路建设。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

村庄始建于元至顺年间，初称鸟围。1972年分出设凤林大队；1986年成立鸟围村委会，沿用至今。[2]

文化[edit]

鸟围村先后获评全国「乡村治理示范村」、省级「民主法治示范村」和市级「文明村」称号。[3]

2022年1月，村子成为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位；同年8月，又列入「2022年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。2023年11月，认定为「第三批全国乡村治理示范村」；2026年1月，获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。[1]
