围头村在桂岭镇区东南部，东邻东升村，北接岭丰村，西与玉步村相邻，南柏公路从村旁经过。[1][2]

人口民族[edit]

博雅地名网记全村总人口6555人，共1490户；村干部职数7人，党员142人。耕地1530亩，山坡地30多亩，未注明年份。[2]

经济[edit]

羊毛机械工业是村里的主要产业，种植业与养殖业为辅，约三成农户进厂务工。村里投资近400万元，建成围头正文学校一座和东山头联社文化活动中心一座，并修筑水泥道路、配上路灯。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期属揭阳磐西都。解放后，此地先归揭阳磐西区东凤乡；1958年归磐西公社，称桂联大队；1983年改为桂岭区围头乡，1986年设围头村委会，至今沿用。[2]

2008年，揭阳市将围头村定为社会主义新农村建设示范点，村子还获评文明先进单位。[2]

2020年9月、2021年10月与2022年10月，阿里研究院先后公布的淘宝村名单都有围头村。[1]
