客洞村在桂岭镇西北部，东面以南柏公路与健豪村为界，北面与柏旺村相邻，国道206从境内穿过。村后山岭重叠，村民以务农为主。[1][2]

人口民族[edit]

博雅地名网记区域面积2.1平方千米，总人口2500人、520户，耕地1221亩，水田430亩，旱园791亩，未注明年份。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

村寨始建于清雍正年间，民国时属磐西区的客洞乡。1957年村子成为桂岭乡下的客洞大队，次年改隶磐岭公社，1961年又归桂岭公社。1986年设立客洞村委会，延续至今。[2]

1933年5月，由古大存带领的红军曾驻扎村中开展革命活动，停留三天后转往大南山，随后有16人投身革命、随红军而去。解放后，村中7名村民被追认为烈士，村庄被确认为革命老区村。[2]

经济[edit]

2025年，客洞村的美丽宜居村建设基本完成，是镇里和美乡村建设的一项内容。[3]

文化[edit]

村里曾被揭阳市评为文明先进单位和综合治理优秀先进单位。村中还设有学校基金会，支持村办学校提高教学质量。[2]
