土地与经济[edit]
耕地面积为1608亩，水田占930亩，旱园678亩；此外有山坡地4152亩。[1][2]
村民以农副业为主要收入，兼办毛织加工等私营小企业。百度百科称，村内发展水稻种植，以及古山二号龙眼、青橄等特色水果，并建成三千余亩的三高农业基地。[2][3]
历史沿革[edit]
明正德年间已有村落，清朝归霖田都。1951年，由坑尾寮、埔东围、蛇脐、富利坑、狗肚坪五个自然村合组为美联乡。[2]
1957年归白塔乡，1958年划入磐岭公社湖美营，1963年改属白塔公社，1965年转为龙尾公社辖区。[2]
1981年改设美联乡，1986年设美联村委会，至今沿用。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2008年，县委授予美联村先进基层党组织称号；2009年，县委授予美联村文明单位称号。[2]
2017年10月，获「第一批广东省卫生村」称号。[2]
2020年8月，美联村列入广东省农业农村厅公布的首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，专业为鸡蛋。[2]
广东省乡村振兴局于2022年1月，把美联村列为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」的创建单位。[2]
