村子在清光绪年间已有人聚居。1949年村地属揭阳县州岭区；1958年归白塔公社；1983年属白塔区；村委会1986年设立，沿用至今。[1]

地理环境[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，全村1568人、310户，耕地含旱园近800亩，未注明统计年份。[1]

经济[edit]
