花坑村距白塔镇镇区约八公里，位于与丰顺县埔寨镇、玉湖镇、桂岭镇交汇之处，四面环山，是一个较偏僻的小村。[1]

村内有花岗岩、大理石资源，村民在改革开放后大力发展山地经济林，村里劳动力约七成外出经商或务工。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清乾隆年间已有村落。民国时期村地属揭阳县州岭区的花坑乡。1958年村归白塔公社，设花坑大队；1983年改属白塔区；村委会于1986年设立，至今沿用。[1]

地理环境[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，村内耕地约330亩，岭地约3000亩，未注明统计年份。当地的花岗岩与大理石曾出口至世界各地。[1][2]

文化[edit]

2019年9月，花坑村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
