棉洋村位于广东省揭阳市揭东区月城镇南部，临榕江而居。[1]

村内分为新厅、前寮、东围、美围、溪头五个经济联合社，郑氏家庙和天后圣母宫是村中的两处古建筑。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地在民国时期属揭阳磐滨都。新中国成立后先后归磐东区与磐东公社管辖，1975年划入月城公社棉洋大队。1983年设月城区棉洋乡，1986年改设村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

村中有村办自来水厂，向全村供应饮用水。各经济联合社的农业与工业都在发展，村内有五金制品、塑料制品等民营企业多家。[1]

棉洋村先后被列入「2020年淘宝村」「2021年淘宝村」和「2022年淘宝村」名单。[1]

文化[edit]

村内有历史悠久的郑氏家庙和天后圣母宫。《世界妈祖廟大全》一书（2002年出版）记载了天后圣母宫。[1]

2019年9月，棉洋村上榜「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[1]
