篮头村位于广东省揭阳市揭东区月城镇南部，南面隔榕江与梅云镇相望，是镇内的行政村。[1][2]

村民多为吴姓，据百度百科，先祖于明景泰年间由福建漳州迁入。村名旧称“龙头乡”。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村落始建于明末。1949年前后此地是磐溪都的篮头乡，1950年为磐东区篮头乡，1958年改称磐东公社篮头大队，1975年归月城公社，1983年为月城区篮头乡，1986年设立篮头村委会。[2]

地理环境[edit]

村域东北与棉洋村相连，西北接刘畔村与寮东村，水陆交通都比较畅通。[2]

经济[edit]

村内经济以砖瓦制造、农业和针绣加工为主，30%的村民从事五金加工。[1][3]

文化[edit]

村中的吴氏大宗祠一德堂建于民国二十一年（1932年），由国民党陆军中将吴文献筹划兴建。[1][3]

据百度百科记载，村里每年正月十六有“营佛祖”活动，内容包括跳火堆与标旗游行，祠堂内的石雕、木雕工艺也保存下来。[1]

2019年9月，篮头村上榜「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[2]
