桂东村是广东省揭阳市揭东区霖磐镇东部的行政村，北面与月城镇的刘畔村相接，南面临榕江南河，据博雅地名网所载，是镇内最大的村庄。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村庄初称桂林。后分为东、西二村，东边一村称桂东村。1986年设立桂东村委会，此前1983年为桂东乡，1961年改称桂东大队，1958年时称桂林大队。[1]
文化[edit]
2007年，村中龙舟队在揭阳市百龙闹榕江竞赛中夺得冠首；2008年，在潮汕四市龙舟赛中获第七名。[2]
村庄属革命老区村。[5]
荣誉与建设[edit]
2020年至2022年，桂东村连续三年入选阿里研究院公布的淘宝村名单。[1]
2021年，桂东村美丽宜居示范村建设启动；2023年，桂东村农村市场改造完成。[5][3]
2025年，桂东村三龙大道等项目竣工投用。[4]
