历史沿革[edit]
明朝嘉靖年间建寨。清代隶属梅岗都崇义乡，民国时期归揭阳县第4区的梅北乡；1949年归梅岗区，1957年归埔田乡，1961年划入埔田人民公社；1986年起设老岭村民委员会。[1]
人口民族[edit]

2008年，村子获揭东县委授予“文明单位”称号。[2]
