南湖村毗邻揭阳市区和揭东县城，位于揭阳森林公园的周边，生态环境较好。村里出产的南湖柚，博雅地名网称品质优良。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明崇祯年间有人在此建寨。1951年，村子归揭阳县梅岗区的南湖乡；1983年又归埔田区的南湖乡；1986年4月设立南湖村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

村里以竹笋种植为主，并积极引进深加工企业，延长产业链。博雅地名网称，村里引进的南湖庄园带动了周边的生态旅游，以餐饮为主的明思味山庄也随之落户于森林公园边缘。[2]
