玉牌村位于玉湖镇西部，地处偏僻，距镇政府约7公里，由石牌、礤尾、朱厝和小坑四个经济联合社组成。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

村中旱园1622亩、水田873亩，两者合为耕地2495亩；另有山地2342亩。全村共5566人，外出人口有2100多人，资料年份未注明。[1][2]

2009年村民人均纯收入为5269元。[1]

2024年政府工作报告提到，玉牌村的一座农光互补光伏发电项目正在推进中。[3]

在广东省2018年「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单中，玉牌村于2019年9月上榜。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子始建于明弘治年间，原名石牌。1949年时为团结乡下辖的自然村，1959年属新亨公社第十管理区，1961年转入玉湖公社，称玉牌大队，1965年又成为团结大队所辖的自然村，1972年复称石牌大队，1980年改称玉牌大队，1984年设玉牌乡，1986年成立玉牌村委会。[1]
